The email comes in. Someone wants their task to move, but they send a message to the originator that they can’t go forward without The Dude performing some action.

The Dude wasn’t on the To: line of the message, but he was being blamed for their inability to make progress.

The Dude hates that shit, so he logs in (on his holiday mind you) and checks the tool. Not only had the Dude done his part, he also notified the upstream person of their required next action.

So, the ability to move this project forward wasn’t due to the Dude holding it up, but because someone else was amiss in their actions.

The Dude has enough stress in his life, and there is a real chance that he did forget to do his bit of the process, but this wasn’t one of those times.
